Disclosure of the transfers
of value – Italy

The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) member companies, including LEO Pharma, are required to disclose, by June 30th, transfers of value (TOV) to healthcare professionals and organizations made in the previous year in connection with prescription medicines on an individual named basis (aggregate by exception only).
The disclosure includes, for example, sponsorship of travel and costs for registration with medical congresses, fees to healthcare professionals for speaker arrangements or for moderating events and contributions to healthcare organizations. Transfers of value for activities related to research and development are published in aggregated form.
The disclosure we make yearly, by the end of June, under the EFPIA Code, is related to the transfer of value occurred in the previous year.
We believe that this publication will facilitate a better awareness of how the pharmaceutical industry works with healthcare professionals and organisations, helping improve the healthcare system and putting the patient’s interests first.
